The Bellaire Jewish Center was established in October 2010 thanks to the vision of several members of the Bellaire community. These individuals envisioned a place where the Jewish community of Bellaire could learn more about Judaism in a warm and welcoming environment. A place to serve the educational and spiritual needs of the community. Although we offer religious services, the Bellaire Jewish Center (BJC) is not a shul…we are your center for Jewish Living. We are your family where Judaism comes alive.

The Kollel of Houston, Houston’s premier Torah study center, was established in the winter of 2010.  The Kollel was founded by local rabbinic and lay leaders, in partnership with Bais Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, New Jersey. The Kollel was formed with the goal of serving the community as a venue for Torah study and Torah scholarship, at all levels. At the heart of the Kollel are its avreichim – budding young scholars engaged in the full time pursuit of Torah study. The presence of committed Talmidei Chachamim in the community serves as a paragon to the centrality and the relevance of Torah in Jewish life.

Both on-site and off-site, the Kollel’s sessions and programs offer up-close access to accomplished scholars and a host of learning opportunities. We invite you to come and experience the inviting atmosphere.
